Pentanet Fixed Wireless is an internet service delivered “through the air” from one of our towers across Perth to a small dish on your roof, rather than via underground cables. Because it runs on our own infrastructure, Fixed Wireless is a true alternative to the nbn, and is monitored and managed by our local team. For many addresses where nbn plans are limited, congested, or not yet available, Pentanet Fixed Wireless provides a strong alternative with fast speeds and low latency, built specifically for Perth.

Pentanet Fixed Wireless has been designed as a next‑level connection for Perth, with plans offering reliable speeds and low latency that are well suited to online gaming, 4K streaming, and remote work. As with any internet plan, your real‑world experience will be influenced by factors like Wi‑Fi performance and router quality, but our private network and focus on Perth help keep performance consistently strong.

Once we’ve confirmed your home is eligible and you’ve chosen a Fixed Wireless plan, we’ll book an installation on the next available date (typically 3-7 business days) with one of our ACMA‑accredited technicians. An install involves mounting a discreet receiver dish on your roof, running a cable through the roof cavity, and terminating it at a new data point inside your home. Our Perth‑local team will keep you updated on your appointment and help you get online as quickly and smoothly as possible.

Absolutely. Double‑storey homes are well suited to Pentanet Fixed Wireless, because the extra height can make it easier to achieve clear line‑of‑sight to one of our towers. Double-storey homes are a little more complex to work on and require two technicians, so booking an installation may take a couple of extra business days.

Yes, renters can absolutely get Pentanet Fixed Wireless as long as their home is within range of one of our towers and has clear line‑of‑sight for an installation. While the install footprint is small and can be removed later if desired, we recommend tenants seek permission from their landlord or property manager.

It’s most likely because we’re unable to establish a direct line of sight to your home. Unlike mobile phone signals that can penetrate obstructions, Fixed Wireless requires a direct line of sight between your rooftop and one of our towers. This direct connection ensures more consistent performance and lower latency compared to mobile-based broadband, where the signal loses strength and reliability as it bounces through and between objects.
