What is the nbn Fibre
Connect program?

Fibre Connect, powered by nbn, is bringing the future of internet straight to your door. By replacing old copper infrastructure with high-speed fibre optic cables, you get a full Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) connection at no extra cost. Experience faster speeds, rock-solid reliability, and lower latency, so you can stream, game, work, and study without limits.

How To Upgrade Your Home

1. Check address eligibility

Check your address and look for ‘$0 upgrade included’ on any of our upgraded nbn plans.

2. Sign up to an eligible plan

Join Pentanet nbn on an eligible plan, or if you’re already with us, get in touch to organise your upgrade.

3. We'll process your application

We'll book the soonest available appointment with nbn and check that it suits your schedule.

4. Attend your appointment

Ensure someone aged 18+ is present for your appointment, then enjoy your new full fibre connection!

Nope - new and existing customers can upgrade at no additional cost, provided the address is eligible and a plan of 500Mbps or higher is selected.

You can read the full FTTP upgrade terms and conditions here.

The nbn-approved technician will install a Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) connection alongside your current Fibre to the Node (FTTN) or Fibre to the Curb (FTTC) connection.

Following the upgrade, there’ll be a maximum overlap of 7 days, during which both services can remain active. Be sure to cancel your FTTN or FTTC service within this timeframe to avoid incurring charges for both services. If you’re already a Pentanet customer, we’ll take care of this for you..

Every installation is slightly different, so installation times can vary. In our experience, most customers who upgrade typically have their new FTTP connection ready within 1-2 weeks.

You can continue to use your current service without interruption until it’s time for your upgrade appointment.

If your address isn’t fibre upgrade ready, you’ll need to wait a little longer until nbn extends the Fibre Connect program to your suburb.
