The world of technology is entering everyday life more and more, and it’s important that our children understand it better than we ever did. We might be seeing technology advancing leaps and bounds every year, but the next generation are the ones who we will take what we’ve laid the foundations for and sprint into the horizon with it.
That’s why we’re so proud to be sponsoring Kids Cyber Week in January next year. This event is run by STEMSmart and is designed to inspire our future innovators in a world of technology and creativity during the school holidays! With half-day workshops covering everything from robotics and engineering to esports and game design, this event of learning and play gives our children the tools they need to thrive in the digital world.
Pentanet set out to advance Perth’s digital landscape, not just in terms of internet connectivity. We’ve been working hard to develop Perth’s esports scene and lower the barrier to entry to let gamers enjoy games at their best with GeForce NOW Powered by Pentanet.
Kids Cyber Week is another significant step in this direction, engaging young people and sparking curiosity to engage and inspire them to explore all the opportunities open to them in the exciting world of digital experience.
The event will be running in Joondalup from January 16th to January 20th, with half-day events running in the morning and afternoon every day, covering the following topics:
- Robotics & Engineering
- Creative Media & Design
- Game Design
- Virtual Reality
- Esports Gaming
There are events for ages 8-9, 10-12, and 13-14. It’s sure to be an exciting five days of play and learning. If you’d like to book tickets for you and your kids to attend, you can do so here. We hope to see you there!
