On 3 September, The Magic Coat Foundation will be holding the Grand Magical Circus annual ball. This is a fantastic opportunity for guests to step straight into the circus stylings of years past, with a fabulous evening of captivating entertainment, fine wine & dining, raffles, and auctions on a variety of premium items.
More than that, it’s a chance to support children across Australia. All proceeds from the event will go towards funding The Magic Coat resources and workshops for children and their families in hospitals, foster care, prisons, and disadvantaged schools.
The Magic Coat Foundation is doing fantastic work in aiding disadvantaged children and so we couldn’t be prouder to do our part in helping them succeed. Pentanet is a major sponsor for this event, and we’ve also donated an 8-seater box to a Perth Wildcats game this season that will be auctioned off as part of the event.
The Magic Coat Foundation was founded by Di Wilcox, who noticed, after working in schools both nationally and internationally, that many children who would otherwise love to engage in schooling struggled to focus. This came from worries and stress in their personal lives they were carrying with them into school that they did not have the tools to manage or communicate to others properly.
Since its foundation in those early days, The Magic Coat Foundation has blossomed into an organisation that supplies preventative mental health programs to children across Western Australia. The program focuses heavily on the well-being of younger children, and the care they’re receiving from adults in their lives. Supplying them the tools to build confidence and resilience, manage their emotions and encourage empathy for others, while providing a common language for both adults and children.
