Before the 22/23 season began, we were able to catch up with Oliver Hayes-Brown, one of the centres for the Perth Wildcats, to have a quick little wildchat (see what we did there) about his Pentanet internet service. He’s been on an nbn™ plan with us for a year now and we wanted to see how it’s compared to his previous internet experiences.

Oliver is a big gamer, and back when he lived at home, he remembers anyone else using the Wi-Fi messing up his connection, causing lag in games or buffering on streams. His internet connection just wasn’t fast enough for multiple users to operate seamlessly and simultaneously. He’d have to ask his family to stop what they were doing when jumping into a game, causing frustration for all involved.

On nbn™ with Pentanet, it couldn’t be more different. He said he’s enjoyed high-speed, high-power internet connections, providing high-quality streams and gaming, without any disruptions. Even when his partner’s streaming videos or just doing her own thing, he doesn’t experience even a moment of lag.

Oliver’s a bit of a fiend for World of Warcraft and has been grinding it out in anticipation of the upcoming expansion. Raiding requires a strong internet connection, and Oliver says, “with Pentanet I’ve had total freedom, without ever needing to disrupt my partner’s use of the internet, we can both just do our own thing freely.”

When asked if he’d recommend Pentanet, he said “absolutely, if your internet connection is important to you, or if you have multiple users. This has been the fastest connection I’ve ever had…. When I signed up, my setup time was super quick, I just had to grab routers. My connection was already on when I got home. So if someone’s looking for a connection with a fantastic, super quick setup time, you can’t go wrong with Pentanet.”

While we’d be happy to hear him singing our praises all day long when you’re catching up with a member of the Wildcats you can’t not ask how they’re feeling about the upcoming season. Here’s what he had to say:

“It should be fun! We’re training hard every day and the team looks really strong. I have high hopes for the imports, who’re fitting in really well. The core guys have allowed everything to be quite seamless bringing them in. Everyone should look out for the Wildcats.”

So there you have it. If you’re looking for fast internet, go Pentanet. If you’re looking for a winning team on the court, go Perth Wildcats! Lastly, if you’re looking for Oliver, check out the Dragon Isles in World of Warcraft.
