Pentanet has won the Hammer and Wildfire categories at the fifth annual Pause Awards.
This was announced at the award ceremony on Monday 5 December, it was also announced that we were one of the top 10 businesses across all categories. This is a tremendous honour that will help push us to ever greater heights, encouraging us onwards as we keep breaking new ground the Pentanet way.
The Pause Awards are renowned as the home for champions and the 'Oscar's worthy' accolade for Australia's most ambitious and forward-thinking businesses. Some past winners include Airwallex, Linktree, MrYum, Guzman Y Gomez, hipages, Heaps Normal, Verve Super, and now Pentanet joins this lineup of champions.
The Hammer category recognises companies who have ‘nailed it’, pun intended. Companies who have found success on their own terms. The Wildfire award recognises businesses that have had a significant impact on the marketplace in a short time. Combine the two and you get Pentanet.
Specifically, we were recognised for bringing GeForce NOW Powered by Pentanet to Australia. This cloud gaming platform is the first of its kind to take off in a big way in Australia. Many did not think cloud gaming could work in our sunny nation due to the spread-out nature of our infrastructure and population centres, but we’ve proved them wrong.
It’s always exciting to be recognised for awards such as this. They help to remind us that we’re on the right track and that our efforts are being noticed. No time to take it easy, though; we’re already looking ahead to how we can continue to improve the Australian gaming and digital landscape with e-sports, internet connectivity, and cloud gaming.
